It’s Chili Time Wichita!

Plan NOW to make your company part of one of Wichita's oldest and biggest events when the Wichita Wagonmasters Downtown Chili Cookoff erupts in the heart of downtown Wichita for the 34th consecutive year of one of the grandest street party and fundraising events in town.

With teams from Kansas and surrounding states (80+ teams expected this year), the Wichita Wagonmasters Downtown Chili Cookoff has been a Wichita tradition for 34 years. Since 2005 when the Wagonmasters took over the event and brought it back Downtown, the event has exploded with a renewed level of enthusiasm by contestants and attendees alike.

Since the return to Douglas Avenue the crowds have responded in great numbers. And, the best part… the weather doesn't matter! Hot, mild or even cold, it's chili weather! We expect the crowd to be over 10,000 strong and all of them eager to taste some of the best chili in the Midwest!

We award over $5,000 prize money in different categories, with the Grand Champion taking home $1,000 in a contest that judges not only their chili but booth design and spirit as well. For the second year contestants have the opportunity to enter a team in the Chili for Charity category and win $500 for their favorite charity.

As a sponsor you are encouraged to form your own team. In fact, with your paid sponsorship you receive free entry for your team. This is a great team building event and a great venue for promoting your company through team participation. You will be pleased with the recognition that the cook-off brings as well as the fun your employees will have. And, a team booth is a great opportunity to display your brand and provide giveaways and literature.
