The Wichita Wagonmaster's Scholarships
Purpose
In early 1974 chartering for Wichita Wagonmasters and the Windwagon was formed by a group of civic-minded business executives. The purpose of this organization was to promote and sell the good life in Wichita and support the Wichita River Festival and other projects of benefit to the city. The founders were not joiners, but active participants and leaders in their various vocations and avocations. The civic and social activities of the founders, and now our total membership, are as wide and varied as the personalities of the members themselves.
To insure the values of the organization and to help maintain and build a healthy social and civic community, we offer these scholarships to young adults, with priority given to students who have demonstrated and possess a desire and a future for strong civic and social involvement.
